Serious adverse events include hepatotoxicity from isoniazid, rifampicin, and pyrazinamide (1-3% of adults), optic neuritis from ethambutol, peripheral neuropathy from isoniazid (prevented by pyridoxine), and myelosuppression or neuropathy from linezolid.
